CARES HAS KITTENS!

THESE ADORABLE LITTLE ONES WILL BE READY FOR ADOPTION IN LATE JULY. ALL CARES KITTENS ARE HEALTH CHECKED, VACCINATED, SPAYED/NEUTERED, TATTOOED, DE-FLEAD AND DE-WORMED. THE ONLY THING YOU WILL NEED TO DO IS TO PROVIDE THEM WITH A GOOD LOVING FOREVER HOME! IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO ADOPT A CARES CAT OR KITTEN, CALL US AT 604-532-5632.
Three Little Kitties.

These 3 little cuties turned 5 months old on May 18th. Their mother Sasha was sent down from the community of Bella Bella when her owners no longer wanted her. She was 4 weeks pregnant at the time she arrived. Mom and kids are all thriving in the home of CARES' volunteer Carol Briner. They will all be ready for adoption (mom too!) later in June.
Bowling For Cats

The 2008 CARES Annual Bowing Night was the best ever! For the 1st time all 112 available tickets were sold and the event was completely sold out! Over $3500.00 was raised through ticket sales, silent auction, and the 50/50 draw. A good time was had by all and no one went home empty handed as everyone received a door prize! Special thanks go to the hardworking Fund Raising Committee for making this happen. Thanks too, to all the people and companies who donated items for the silent auction. We just couldn't do this without your support. Thank you everyone!

Christmas 2007 At Cares

For the 1st 3 weekends in December, Santa posed for pictures with over 200 dogs, cats and their owners in this great fund raising event hosted by the Langley Petsmart store. Fun was had by all and over $1000.00 was raised to help the homeless animals at the CARES shelter!

2007 Walk-a-thon A Huge Success!
On September 23rd, over 40 volunteers and friends attended the CARES Annual "Cat Walk" at Derby Reach and raised over $11,000.00! A BBQ followed the 5km walk and the well deserving walkers were treated to some tasty burgers, hot dogs and door prizes. Prizes were also awarded to the top 3 individuals who collected the most pledges: Lauralee Porter, Lawana Quest and Ginette Bourdeau. The biggest winners are the cats. The proceeds of the walk will go entirely to the care of the animals at the shelter. A big thank you to all the walkers and to all the volunteers who made this event possible!
