Come and visit us at our Luv-A-Pet Adoption Centre which is located in the Langley PetSmart at the corner of 200 Street and the Langley Bypass.

Our adoption hours are:
Monday through Friday 7-9 PM
Saturday, Sunday 12 NOON - 4 PM
Holidays Varied Hours

You may contact us during adoption hours by calling 604-534-5903 and asking for Luv-A-Pet.

Adoption fees vary but all include: spay/neuter, virus testing, vaccinations and a free vet exam.

Allie

3 year old spayed female

It was a prickly start in life for this dear character! Allie (along with 4 kittens) was found making her home in some blackberry bushes behind an abandoned home in Langley. It took a few visits, but CARES volunteers managed to trap them all and get them into foster homes. When Allie 1st arrived at the shelter she was NASTY! Slash, slash slash!
Over time the volunteers were eventually able to pat her on her terms. She was not the happiest kitty having to share her space with other felines and it showed. Then one day, a kind pet store employee adopted her! For over a year Allie lived happily as a single apartment cat. Reports came that she was an affectionate love who would sleep up by her owner’s pillow every night! But then sadly, Allie’s mom moved out of country and could not take her. She now hopes again for a similar home that she enjoyed before.

Martha

10 year old spayed female

Martha was brought in as a stray to the CARES's vet office. She is a unique gal with 6 toes! Martha is friendly and does love to be paid attention to. She will kneed in her bed after you talk to her and pet her. She would be a nice companion for a senior or for any adult oriented home. Martha is happy to reside indoors, does not need other cats for company, and her favourite treat is Temptations! She has no known health issues.

Ariel

8 year old spayed female

Ariel has been with CARES for quite some time since her owner was tragically killed in a car accident. Ultimately this gorgeous girl would be happiest in a single cat home. She loves to hang out on a scratchy post and does like to have her head rubbed. She would fair best in an indoor only home and just adores Temptation Treats!

Kiyah

4 year old spayed female

Initially timid, this sweet dear will "talk" to you when you talk to her. She loves attention and being brushed and petted. She was given up as her owners would have been evicted by their landlord if they kept her. Kiyah has been an indoor cat and has lived with a male cat. She would fair best in a quieter adult oriented home.

Georgie

Another rescue from Keremeos, BC, Georgie is just so happy to be with us and (as with most orange tabbies) just loves being with people. George seems okay around other cat friendly cats and would most likely want to be an indoor/outdoor cat. He would be a great family cat or companion cat for an adult home.

Calista

5 year old spayed female (de-clawed)

The photo doesn't quite do this pretty girl justice Sadly Calista came to CARES due to asthma issues family's new baby. The family is heartbroken as they took Calista in 4 years ago when she was a young mom who showed up with her kittens at their home. After caring for her and her kittens, the family found homes for the babies and kept Calista. Calista was loved and cared for very much. She is a nice family pet and would prefer a single cat home. She also needs to be indoors due to being de-clawed.

China

8 year old neutered male

This sweet soul was sadly surrendered along with this brother when his elderly owner had to move in with family who are allergic to cats. China is a quiet love who loves attention. He was raised indoors and is good with other cat friendly cats. China is looking for a queter adult oriented home.

Gertie

3 year old spayed female

Poor Gertie was brought back to CARES after she was unable to adapt to a new baby in the home. Gertie is a quiet, timid soul and would thrive more in a quieter, adult oriented home. Gertie is okay around other cat friendly cats and prefers to be an indoor cat.

Hudson

2 year old neutered male

This friendly boy was rescued in Keremeos, BC. He is so happy to be in a safe, loving environment (even if it is a shelter!). Hudson just wants to be loved and he will reward your attention with rubs and head butts. He is non-agrressive with other cats (they tend to pick on him poor fellow) and he may be very happy on his own or with a nice friendly that won't pick on him. As he has had the taste of the great outdoors, he most likely will want to be an indoor/outdoor kitty although he seems okay indoors too.

Stir Fry

1 1/2 year old neutered male

Stir Fry is a very friendly boy who just loves people. He sadly came to CARES from Keremeos, BC after his owner passed away. Stir Fry would be a great family cat as he loves to be with people and he still has a playful side to him. He seems okay around other cat friendly cats and enjoys being and indoor/outdoor kitty.

Simon

2 year old neutered male

Poor Simon was sadly surrendered to CARES when his owners were unable to afford to pay a vet bill for him. Simon is a great fellow. He just loves the company of people. He isn't as fond of his fellow feline companions as he used to enjoy a home where he was the only cat. Simon would make a great family pet and would be adaptable in just about any home.
